Year 13 update
Jenny Pullin, our Year 13 Dean, provides an update on happenings during Term 3.
Term Three brings with it mixed emotions for the Year 13 cohort; excitement about a future beyond Marlborough Girls’ College and apprehension that their time at school is almost at an end. These feelings are all very normal and I encourage everyone to make the most of their final few months as they prepare for their futures.
It is important for our Year 13 students to maintain a balance throughout this term as they complete final internal assessments and prepare for the external examinations. I recommend all students take time each day to look after their wellbeing. To help keep a balance, I strongly suggest everyone make a plan for the remainder of the term to ensure they can schedule time each week for assignments, revision, work, physical activity and wellbeing and spending time with friends and whānau.
As part of the Hauora Programme in extended whānau time, Year 13 are getting ready for a Community Challenge that will take place in Week 5. This is an opportunity for Year 13 to say thank you and give back to the Marlborough Community. Whānau classes are busy planning and preparing for the day, and I look forward to sharing with you later this term more about the event.
As always, I remind Year 13 to ask for support when they need it - we are all here to support them!
