Cleo Collins, a Year 12 Business Studies student, has received exciting news this week as she has been one of eight students across the country to be selected on an all expenses 10 day trip to Mexico.

LatAm Biz: Mexico is a joint programme between the Latin American Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence (LatAm CAPE) & Young Enterprise (YES). LatAm CAPE and YES have been running programmes to Latin America since 2017 with domestic programmes run here in New Zealand during 2020-2023.

The opportunity to come to LatAm Biz: Mexico 2024 has been offered to YES students who are engaged and excited to be exploring a different way of business and embracing the cultural experiences Mexico has to offer.

Eight students from New Zealand and four students from Mexico City will spend the week

together working in teams to pitch a solution to a business challenge concerning Sustainable Development Goals. Throughout the week they will also undergo language and cultural lessons, engage in cultural activities and business visits.
