The Year 9 Make Her Space group worked steadily through the final week of Term 3 and the first week of Term 4.

The vege bed structure has been completed and the class is now painting and decorating the structure.

Students were asked to create MGC-themed decorations to put on the bed. Some have chosen school values while others have chosen to decorate using the MGC Ākonga Learning Capabilities to show what they have learned this year.

Once the painting is complete, the Science department will fill the structure with soil and place mulch over the access paths so it is ready for planting.

Some of the students undertaking this project had not previously held a hammer or used power tools. So, this was a valuable project that will benefit other students for many years into the future.
