Our Statistics students set out by boat to apply their learning in the real world of Mussels.

On Wednesday 16 March, students in STA301 travelled by boat to visit a Mussels farm at Havelock. 

Students collected samples of mussels then measured and weighed them. 

This hands on approach allowed them to use their skills in the real workplace, and helped them to make connections to data collection.
