Empower Te Rangapikikōtuku

Marlborough Girls' College —

On 26 and 27 August, Marlborough is hosting its first Coding and ESports Festival - Empower Te Rangapikokōtuku.

This interactive and engaging 2 day festival aims to inspire rangatahi across Te Tauihu to learn more about the world of coding, technology and esports, and showcase pathways into further study and employment.

Thanks to many generous supporters, entry to the festival and the workshops is FREE.

Check out the website here:

To ensure groups have enough time and space to make the most of the opportunities, group bookings have been split into two sessions per day:

  • Friday morning - 9.30 am to 1 pm
  • Friday afternoon - 1 pm to 4.30 pm

  • Saturday morning - 9.30 am to 1 pm
  • Saturday afternoon - 1 pm to 4.30 pm

Each 3.5 hour session will provide access to the guest speakers, interactive zone (Skills VR and HADO), tech expo and watching the esports competitions.

Registration is required and with high numbers of interested groups, early group bookings are recommended.

Empower Te Rangapikikōtuku is a two day long coding and esports festival for youth in Te Tauihu o te Waka and Te Tai o Poutini. Aotearoa is leading the way in technology initiatives and we want to make these innovative pathways available for rangatahi to explore.

The schedule is action-packed with activities where you will be inspired by guest speakers, attend specialist workshops, witness unique exhibitions and engage in esports tournaments. This is an inclusive event that seeks to enable and showcase pathways into further study and employment across a range of businesses and industries.

Learn, discover, create and be inspired at Empower Te Rangapikikōtuku.
