On the 14th of November we had two amazing workshops with KADODO west African drum and dance group.

Y9s and Y10s learned some drum beats, funky moves and tribal chanting. They sung, played, danced and had lots of fun experiencing culture from a different continent of our globe.Here are some comments from a couple of our Year 9 students:

• "It was great, not that long ago I found out part of my family was from Ghana, this workshop really made me feel connected to my roots and I enjoyed it thoroughly." 
  
  
• "I really enjoyed them coming and showing us their culture. The dance would be my favourite because they were really groovy and fun moves that made me feel so happy that I forgot that there were many students in front of me watching us. It would be lovely if they came back again because learning more from them would be awesome and I think the new year 9's would also love learning what this culture is."
