Head Lice

Marlborough Girls' College —

We are aware of several cases of head lice at the school recently. Lice are spread by direct head to head contact, no matter how clean the hair is.

If your child does get lice, it is important to treat them promptly to break the lifecycle, keep the hair tied back to minimise the risk of spread, and avoid sharing hairbrushes or clothing.

A number of treatments are available over the counter from pharmacies, and more information can be found here.
