Our MGC Rugby team had its first game on Wednesday 17 May as the season kicks off for 2023.

As part of our preseason our team Wāhine Toa traveled to Nelson for our 10s tournament. 

We played a mini tournament against Nayland, Nelson, Waimea, Motueka, and QCC.

We also had the opportunity to have a discussion with well-known referee Maggie Cogger-Orr who helped us to understand the rules of the game. This was a great team building opportunity for our team and experience for our new players. 

We are looking forward to sharing our journey throughout the upcoming season.
