Over the last couple of weeks we have had the YES Kickstarter day and the BP Business Challenge - exciting opportunities for our young entrepreneurs.

YES Kickstarter Day

On Friday 10 March, the year 12 and 13 Business Studies students attended the Young Enterprise Scheme Kickstarter day. This was an opportunity to kickstart their business ideas and talk with business coaches from the local community. 

We had 10 business coaches who attended the event to share their knowledge and experiences with our students. A big thank you to:

Students have continued to connect with their coaches since the big day, and have asked them to continue on as their mentors for the rest of their YES year. 

BP Business Challenge

From Wednesday 22 - Friday 24 March, 55 year 11 Business Studies students participated in the BP Business Challenge held at Marlborough Boys' College. Our students worked alongside the Boys College students in groups of 6-7 to come up with a business idea that is a solution to current problems that exist in society. 

Throughout the three days, students were working towards making a business pitch to present to five business judges who came in from the community. Our students rose to the challenge and presented their ideas in a professional manner while further developing their business and collaboration skills.
