EXPO Day

Sören Maclaren —

On Friday 16th February, Marlborough Girls’ College held their Expo Day, where the school's wide range of sports teams, clubs, & committees showcased their different achievements, and activities, in order to gain some new recruits.

Each team had an information board designed by members about the group, enticing students to sign up and give something new a go!

The different opportunities available at MGC encourage all students to try something brand new, and get involved with school life, producing a sisterhood and an awesome sense of belonging - Whanaungatanga.

There were a multitude of displays for students to check out including Māori and Pasifika committees, House committees, Leos club, Enviro club, Book club, and many, many more. If you would like to know more about what’s available at Marlborough Girls, click here to learn about our extracurricular opportunities.

Our school whakatauki - Ma te kahukura ka rere te manu - Adorn the bird with feathers so that it may fly - is at the core of Expo Day, as trying new things leads to possibilities that help us adorn ourselves with the feathers we need to fly.

If you couldn’t sign up on the day, don’t stress! Contact the leader of the club you would like to sign up for, or the Manutaki in charge of your committee, and let them know you are interested.
