We would like to introduce you to our Careers and Transition Team 2024.

Left to Right Carolyn Pudney (Careers Admin and Trades Coordinator) Karen Tattersall (Curriculum Leader Careers and Transition) and Liz Maw ( Careers and Transition Admin Team Leader and Gateway Coordinator).

We support students with transitioning from school to tertiary education, training or the workplace, this includes:

...assistance with Career planning, applying for University, and Scholarships, subject selection, employment, Gateway, Trades Academy and work placements.

A wide range of guest speakers visit the College throughout the year including Tertiary providers, Defence Forces, past students etc. Senior students are informed of these opportunities via their Year level Google Classroom and are invited to attend.

All students have access to a wealth of information around courses, university etc plus they can use our ‘Inzone Careers’ computer which gives insights using videos of a vast range of jobs, what qualifications are needed, salary, hours of work.

Students are welcome to visit the Careers area and individual appointments can be made via email karen.tattersall@mgc.school.nz.
