Last week the Learning Centre students got to enjoy some amazing activities outside of the classroom.

It is fabulous to see our students enjoying themselves at the Special Olympics in Nelson and on the Year 9 Stars Camp. Here some of our students share their thoughts. 

Special Olympics Athletics and Golf

We drove to Nelson. I liked playing golf the most. I liked smacking the ball off the tee. I hit it every time. I was loads better than Miss Carla. I was really good at the ball throw. I wanted to keep throwing after we had finished. It was a great day.  Ann Mary Bino

My favourite thing was running with my friends. I was amazing at playing golf. We waited on the road for a crash. Zoe Tate 

We did jumping, running, throwing and we played golf. I liked the trip to Nelson. Sui Sui Yu

Yr 9 Stars Camp

The rafting was amazing! We had to build a raft from wood, ropes and mussel buoys. About 10 of us got on our raft and floated away in the sea. We paddled back to shore. It was so much fun! 

The dessert of Chocolate Brownie and Gelato was YUM YUM YUM!! It was the best camp I have ever been to. George Westergard-Allen
