Across our Technology classes this week we had a special focus on design and inspiration from Māori culture.

 MakeHer Space class were tasked with created a kete out of paper. They used a combination of card and paper to weave a basket. In Jewellery students are in the processes of designing an item of Jewellery that is reflective of Te wiki o Te Reo Maori. 

In Ideas to Plate, the year 9 food technology class, students were tasked to create a design that was inspired by research of traditional designs and research their meaning. The design was applied using a simple parāoa recipe.
