Supporting Individual Students with Sports Funding

We are very grateful to Apollo Projects for providing sponsorship to Marlborough Girls’ College students to engage in sport. The funding will cover payment of sports fees, sporting equipment, support services and travel to events.

Apollo Projects is a leading New Zealand design and construction company with significant experience in the Marlborough region. Apollo's first ever project was in Marlborough for Wairau River Wines and they have continued to work for the wine industry for a number of years. Their dedicated team thoroughly enjoys delivering projects that support businesses and communities.

If you have someone in your whānau at MGC who loves sport and is keen to be committed in giving sport a go this year but may be unable to participate due to financial reasons, please feel free to apply for funding by completing the form below. The sport does not have to be a school sport and could include sports outside of the College. Please apply!

Each grant is up to $500.

To be eligible for this funding, you must:

• Be a Marlborough Girls’ College student in Years 9-13

• Demonstrate our values|uara of Manaakitanga, Whanaungatanga and Kotahitanga

• Be committed to your chosen sport

• Tell us about your financial or other circumstances that make it hard for you to engage in sport

• Tell us what you need the funding for, eg fees, gear, travel etc
  

To apply please complete the APPLICATION FORM by Thursday 16 May at 12 noon. Applicants will be notified of outcomes by Friday 31 May. 

Applications will be considered by a panel of staff, including the Principal and Sports Co-ordinator.
