Our MGC squash teams have been busy competing in tournaments around the South Island.

South Island Squash Competition

The MGC Squash A team travelled to Christchurch over the weekend to compete in the South Island Secondary Schools Squash competition. The girls were seeded 5th and after fighting hard over 3 matches ended up in a commendable 4th place. Well done to Lucy Wirepa, Stella Henry and Addison Florence. 

Tasman Squash Competition

Our two MGC squash teams also recently competed at the Tasman Secondary School Squash Competition. They were accompanied by Mrs Julie Brown, their coach and manager.

The A team consisting of Lexie Newman, Stella Henry, Lucy Wirepa and Addison Frances. They came in second place after a very closely fought match against Motueka High School.

The B team, consisting of Bec Harris, Bella Monteith, Vespa Duncan and Enxin Zhang won the plate final.
