It was a wonderful celebration of our many talented sports people and teams and we were delighted to welcome whānau and members of our community.

Sports person of the Year - Mila van Rensburg. Mila is an accomplished athlete who has demonstrated excellence in both rowing and athletics.
On the international stage, she was a finalist in the U19 coxless fours at the World U19 Rowing Championships in Canada, representing New Zealand as part of the NZ U19 team.
Her national achievements include a 3rd place finish in the U18 coxless fours at the Maadi Regatta, while regionally, she secured 2nd place in the U18 coxed four and 3rd in the U17 double sculls at the South Island Secondary Schools (SISS) competition.
At the school level, Mila's athletic versatility shines through, as she placed 2nd in the U19 200m, 400m, and 800m events at the MGC Athletics Championship, and was also a member of the rowing team. Additionally, she competed in the Tasman Secondary Schools cross-country for Marlborough Girls College. She has consistently showcased her all-around talent and commitment to sport.
