We said goodbye to some amazing staff at the end of this year as they look to the future with new opportunities outside of Marlborough Girls' College.

Permanent staff who finished with us in 2021 include:

• Di Austin joined us in 1999 and after 22 years teaching, mentoring, Deaning, leading communications, writing our school magazine, introducing new subjects, amongst many other roles, she has moved on to new opportunities. We thank Di for her aroha, commitment and passion in educating young women.
  
• Louisa Woods, our Guidance Counsellor started teaching English at MGC in 2004 and after part time study joined our Guidance team. Her contribution was immense, but not always seen by everyone. We thank her for the difference she made to our rangatahi wish her all the best in continuing her work in private practice.
• Huw Edwards leaves us this year to join the team at Bohally Technology Centre - Huw has been at MGC for 20 years and has nurtured countless students in their love of design, graphics and creativity. He leaves a hole as we will miss his dry sense of humour, big picture thinking and quiet and determined love of learning.
