During the last few weeks several classes have had the opportunity to engage in an Escape Room scenario titled the Euphorigen Investigation.

While solving several problems students learned skills in navigating the digital media environment.

This included: 

• how to identify fake profile pictures;
• how information spreads through social media algorithms; and
• knowledge of different types of news sources and deep fake videos.

Everybody enjoyed the experience, and this exercise will help them identify misinformation and disinformation. 

It was also interesting to watch them develop teamwork and the groups that worked well as teams completed the challenges in a quicker time frame!
