Farewell Year 13!

Marlborough Girls' College —

Wednesday 2 November we farewelled our Year 13 Leavers as they headed off on study leave.

It was a day to celebrate the achievements of our Year 13 Leavers as they graduate after five years with us. As per tradition we started the day with students planting a tree in the school grounds and placing their hand prints on one of our external walls.

The Senior Leavers Farewell Assembly was full of emotion and celebration as we acknowledged their efforts and contributions over the last five years. The students said thank you to their Deans, Miss Karen Tattersall and Mrs Shalom Del'monte-Aberhart, who have supported them so well. They then walked through an honour guard of Year 9 students to join the Year 13 leavers from Marlborough Boys' College at the Taylor River Amphitheatre.

A huge thank you to Mayor Nadine Taylor for her words of wisdom, which was followed by beautiful speeches by our Manukura, Te Ao Mārama Nepia and the Head Boy from MBC.

On Thursday evening we had a beautiful Mā Te Wa for Year 13s and their whānau at the Lansdown Park Pavilion. We are extraordinarily proud of our wonderful Year 13 students and wish them all the very best for the future.
