Give it a go

On Friday 17 February we held our annual Clubs Expo for students to explore the exciting opportunities available at MGC

Our school whakatauki ‘Ma Te Kahukura Ka Rere Te Manu - Adorn the Bird With Feathers So It May Fly.’ is a vital part of the school's culture and values. The school’s expo day, which was held on the 17th of February, is a great opportunity for students to join clubs and committees, and be an active member in the school community.

These clubs and committees help students to get involved, and most importantly, to open possibilities for themselves and adorn themselves with the feathers they need to be able to fly.

We had an array of amazing displays, including enviro club, house committees, film club, rowing and many more.

The quad was overflowing with the amount of people that that showed up, and there was an even more amazing amount of committee sign ups this year. It was great to see everyone get involved and show participation.

The participation creates a sense of community and shows the school value of whanaungatanga, which is a crucial part of our school.

Don’t worry if you couldn't make it on the day! There is still a chance to sign up and get involved.

Get in contact with the Manutaki, or the leaders of the clubs and let them know you're interested. Or check out more information about student opportunities on our website here.
