Keeping up to date with the Board of Trustees

Kia ora koutou katoa,

It's been a fantastic few weeks back at school. Hopefully, students should be settled in now.

We had a great start to the term with our exciting House Cross Country. It was incredible to see all of the talented runners out there! Congratulations to Ōpaoa for taking the win.

At our most recent Board meeting, we were shown a presentation on our MGC Learning Centre. We have some outstanding staff who assist students with learning needs on their MGC endeavours. After hearing about the Learning Centre's future ambitions and intentions moving forward, it appears to be a massive effort. However, I am certain that other MGC students will step forward and demonstrate Manaakitanga (extending aroha, love and compassion to others and encouraging one another) and Kotahitanga (creating unity by working together) to make these aspirations become a reality. The Board recognises and appreciates all of the work done behind the scenes to help Learning Centre students be able to enjoy and experience what MGC has to offer them. And we aim to inspire other students to stand up and assist in any way they can.

The Board wishes you all the best for the remainder of Term 2 as we enter a busy period on the school calendar. We hope you enjoy and take advantage of your learning opportunities here at MGC.

Ma Te Kahukura, Ka rere Te manu – Adorn the bird with feathers so it may fly.
