We are delighted to open up our tennis courts to the general public for the summer break.

We all know how important fresh air and exercise is for both the body and spirit. In line with this, Marlborough Girls' College are offering their tennis courts for use by the general public while we are closed for the summer break.

The courts will be available from Monday 17 December 2022 until Sunday 22 January 2023.

Please note the following times when the courts are booked and will not be available

• 9 am to 12 pm Saturday mornings
• 5 pm to 9 pm Tuesday evenings

If you are going to use our courts, we do ask that you respect our courts by wearing the correct footwear and taking care of our nets. 

Health and Safety

Any individuals using Marlborough Girls’ College facilities must comply with the health and safety procedures, and requirements as laid out in the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

Marlborough Girls’ College Board of Trustees reserves the right to check on the area at any stage. In the event of failure to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, Marlborough Girls’ College Board of Trustees may issue a notice requiring activity/event be stopped until any such failure has been rectified.

The school shall not be liable for any costs or loss sustained by the user attributable to rectifying any breaches to these rules.

The school shall under no circumstances be liable for any loss, damages, compensation, cost or injury sustained by any person if such loss, damage, compensation, cost or injury is attributable either wholly or in part to the failure by such persons to observe these rules. 

Conditions of Use

Please note the following conditions in regards to use of school facilities, specifically the tennis courts.

• No smoking or vaping is permitting on the school grounds
• No alcohol is permitted within the school grounds
• Users are responsible for the cost of any damage that can be attributed to them or rubbish left behind. Please keep our grounds clean and safe for others to use.
• The tennis courts will be left in the condition in which they are found. All rubbish must be removed and any breakages reported.
