Students shine in Diversity Week

Olga Fuentes-Astorga, International Director —

This week we celebrated who we are at Marlborough Girls’ College with Cultural Diversity Week

More than 200 ethnic groups in New Zealand Aotearoa demonstrate our cultural resilience and manaakitanga.

At MGC, we want to live this value in our daily life because we are sure it will contribute to encouraging respect, tolerance and acceptance. So this week we celebrated different heritage backgrounds through dancing, singing and dressing in cultural clothes.

Wearing cultural clothing for mufti day was an experience of joy and happiness. Our grounds were filled with vibrant colours, shiny jewels and beautiful melodies.

Thank you to our International Committee led by Avpreet Bal, Manutaki Tawahi | International and the support given by the school staff.
