House Reading Competition

Colleen Shipley, MGC Librarian —

Over the last month the readers in the school have been discussing the books they have been reading with the Librarians to earn House points in our annual ‘House Reading Competition.’

The benefits of the competition are many:

  • it is an incentive to read more

  • it is beneficial to talk to others about what you are reading

  • it provides another platform for students to earn house points

  • it sometimes gives us titles we decide to purchase for our collection.

The competition finished at 3pm, Tuesday 31st May 2022.  The final points were:

  • Ōpaoa 516
  • Awatere 447
  • Kaituna 135
  • Wairau 63

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the 'House Reading Competition'!
