Four MGC students travelled the last four days of the school holidays to Dunedin for the Te Waipounamu Maori Rakatahi Rugby Tournament, representing U17 Wahine Te Tau Ihu.

They won against Waitaha|Canterbury and then Otakou|Otago to win the tournament and become South Island Champions.  The players who went were:
