We were delighted to celebrate our students' achievements in NCEA last year during our Academic Honours assembly today.

MGC's NCEA and UE results continue to be well above the national average and above the results for other schools like us. We are really proud that NCEA results for MGC Māori students also improved in the last year with their results being comparable with all MGC students. NCEA and UE results for Māori students at MGC are well above the national pass rate for Māori students. MGC's Literacy and Numeracy pass rates for the new co-requisites are also above the national averages.

Today we awarded 18 Gold, 27 Silver and 16 Bronze Academic Awards to our Year 13 students for their outstanding achievements in 2024. These students achieved their NCEA Level 2 certificate endorsed with Excellence or Merit - congratulations on your effort, determination and success last year! Please see the list below.

We are very proud of the education and opportunities for growth that we provide all students at Marlborough Girls' College and are confident that we are supporting young women to be successful now and in their future.

School life and learning are well underway this year, with a wide variety of support and opportunities available to all. A huge thank you to all our hard working and dedicated staff who support our students' success, both last year and this. And we really value the support of our whānau and community - thank you for being an advocate for Marlborough Girls' College and the continued success of our fantastic young people. They are, of course, our future.
