Bluelight Leadership Voyage Short Film Competition.

Kia Ora mai tatou Katoa, Hello everyone!

This is to officially announce the launch of this year’s short film competition.

Everyone at Bluelight is hoping you’ve had a great summer holiday so far and would like to invite you and your school to take part in this year’s opportunity to create a Short Film and advertise the topic we have put together.

A special shout out to last year’s winners, VERRAN PRIMARY SCHOOL and ST. JOSEPHS’s SCHOOL (HAWERA) for their outstanding victory and their creative films to do with “how do I fit in?” and “My public self vs my true self”.

We hope that this year’s topic of “Why is education important?” will be able to spark, not only some imaginative talent, but bring awareness to young minds around how impacting education is for everyone.

There are cash prizes for the two divisions - PRIMARY & INTERMEDIATE and SECONDARY SCHOOLS. First and second places available to both, so get stuck in and apply now.

NZPMC Workshops

The NZPMC Workshops are events held in-person to inspire young minds to pursue studies in the STEM field and compete in the NZPMC. These events help students prepare for the NZPMC, by providing them with consistent updates of the competition and future workshop dates. The workshops are a great networking opportunity with lectures run by experts in the field and lab-based activities in the works. Outside of the workshops, the online student forum run by the workshop team is a great place to have any burning questions answered, or just to chat with like-minded people.

Our very first NZPMC Introduction Workshop will provide students insight into what the NZPMC is, how it is run and who it is run by. It’s also a great chance to network with other students and NZPMC staff, make new friends and have fun with the activities we have planned for the event.
