Our Vet Marlborough Year 9 netball team competed at the SISS Junior netball tournament in Christchurch.

The tournament was played during the holidays and the team had an amazing time. Although they didn't make the best start to the tournament, losing all 3 games on the first day, the team regrouped and played strongly on Tuesday and Wednesday, not dropping any more games to finish in17th place, which was top of the Bottom 16 teams. The team began and ended the tournament playing Marian College!

The results were:

Monday vs Marian College loss 15-29 vs St Margaret's College loss 17-26 vs Central Southland College loss 25-27 (they finished 5th!) 

Tuesday Bottom 16 vs Avonside High School win 35-8 vs Timaru Girls High School win 39-5

Places 17-24 vs Southland GIrls High School win 31-12 Wednesday Places 17-20 vs Craighead Diocesan win 32-23

Places 17-18 vs Marian College win 34-20
