There is a General Election in October. The next government will need to make wise decisions to protect and care for the things that ensure the health and well-being of our community and our environment.

We are inviting Marlborough primary and high school students to participate in a competition which gives you the opportunity to consider this important matter and have a say.

What would you want to see the next government do? 

You are invited to write a letter to the next Prime Minister about what you would like the government to do to protect and care for Papatūānuku, our Earth Mother.

• All entries will be recognised and acknowledged.
• A selection of entries will be chosen for publication in local newspapers and news websites.
• By submitting, you are agreeing that your letter may be submitted for publication.
• Entries must be submitted as a digital file to altoft@gmail.com by 28 August 2023.
• Original work is expected.
