On Friday 3rd June, the Year 11 Business students participated in their annual Market Day.
There were a range of products on offer including key chains, phone charms, bracelets, candles, pet snacks, hot chocolates, stickers and more. This year 100% of the profits will be going to charity.
The charities chosen by the classes include AYA Cancer Network Aotearoa and Save the Children - Ukraine.
In total, we are donating $460 to these charities. The students thoroughly enjoyed the Market Day process and have developed some useful financial and business skills.
"I quite enjoyed Market Day. It was a fulfilling experience to make the product and then see it sell and have people interested. It was great to see our profit being donated to charities to help people in need" - Viola Minghetti, Year 11
