We are looking forward to welcoming back all our students at MGC next year after a restful and happy summer holiday. Below is some key information and dates for the 2023 school year that you may find helpful.

Key Dates

Tuesday 17 January
NZQA Results Available - please make sure you login and check the results of your hard work this year!

From Friday 20 January
Our online booking system will be open to make appointments with your Year Level Dean to discuss your courses and learning programme for 2023. The link will be emailed to you on 20 January.

Wednesday 25 - Thursday 26 January
Deans are available to meet with students to discuss subject changes - please make an appointment through our online booking system.

Monday 30 January - Tuesday 31 January
Star Mentor Training off site on Monday and at school in the Old Library on Tuesday.

Thursday 2 February - Pōwhiri and Year 9 Students first day
This is the first day for our Year 9 students and we will begin the day at 9am with a Pōwhiri to welcome all our new students and staff to our school. Our Manutaki and Star Mentors will also be at school for the Pōwhiri and to support our Year 9s throughout the day.

Friday 3 February - First day for all students
We welcome everyone back to our first day of school, starting at 8.45am. Please go to your whānau class when you arrive. There will be activities happening in the afternoon, so please bring a tee shirt (in your house colour), shorts/ track pants and a hat.

Please note that it is Waitangi Day on Monday 6 February and our timetable will begin on Tuesday 7 February - it will be Day 7.

Schoolbridge

A reminder that you can log into our Schoolbridge app on your mobile devices, or via our website online. Schoolbridge provides quick and easy access to student and parent portals as well as lots of other useful information. You will need to log in using the same username and password you use for the parent or student portal. We do recommend you download the app if you have not already as it is used for distribution of emergency alerts.

Students will be able to view their timetable for 2023 from mid January, and we will send login details out to students and whānau then. You can view information about attendance, achievements, teacher comments and reports, and the Daily Notices.
