A word from the Principal

Mary-Jeanne Lynch —

Iti noa ana, he pito mata - With care, a small kūmara will produce a harvest

We have had a fantastic week at Marlborough Girls' College and we are so proud of all of our students. Yesterday we were able to hold our whole school athletics at Athletic Park - what a day! We have incredibly talented athletes at our school, records were broken and a huge amount of fun and celebration rang out around the grounds. A huge thank you to Jan Gallop, Ian Thomas and the PE team.

A week ago a group of our students organised a fundraiser for cancer research and ran a superhero mufti day. Almost $1700 was raised but this wouldn't have happened without small contributions to a great outcome.

A large number of our students have signed up to take part in the Relay for Life over the weekend. Thank you to everybody for your contribution and support.

We really appreciated all of the parents and whānau who came in to learning hui. A lot of really meaningful, important but small things are making our school great this term. We see this as our school values | uara in action.

  • Kotahitanga - acting as one.
  • Manaakitanga - supporting others.
  • Whanaungatanga - being part of one big MGC family.

Enjoy reading about all of our wonderful students and their activities and learning. Thank you for your ongoing support.
