The Year 8 Information evening was a huge success.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Year 8 evening.  We welcomed our new students and whānau and showed them our positive culture and engaging learning opportunities. And let's not forget the legendary cupcakes provided!

A Year 9 student, Bella Le Compte gave us her view of things one year on...

It was only this time last year that I was a year 8 sitting in the hall, looking around with wide eyes nervous for the next chapter in my life. I still look up to the girls that spoke that evening and gave me a tour of the school.

Suddenly this was me, doing the exact same thing for the next generation of year 9s. If only I knew how easy this transition was going to be as a year 8 student. After the hui with year 8s in the hall, and meeting all the parents, it was time to give them a tour of our wonderful school, and some mini lessons in each department.

The entire evening gave me another layer of appreciation of what our incredible teachers do for us at this school. The group I was with loved every moment of the tour, and are so looking forward to next year!
