Cushion Comfort

Many people who visit our Library comment on its welcoming feel. One thing that makes it feel this way is our lovely and colourful cushions. However, these were made back in 2018, so some looked a little tired.
Our two year 9 classes of the technology course Fablab came to the rescue last term to create some beautiful new cushions for the library. To understand the brief, the students toured the library and heard an explanation of the purpose of the cushions. After interviewing the librarian, students came up with three specifications to meet the brief. The cushions had to meet the theme of the library and a love of reading/culture, had to be aesthetic with beautiful details, and durable to last over time.
The students did a wonderful job and the cushions are currently being appreciated by all.
