MGC Students Shine at Marlborough Aquabot Regional Competition

On Friday, October 18th, two teams from MGC, 'Just Add Water' and 'Die Sonderangebote', participated in the Marlborough Aquabot Regional Competition held at the Marlborough Lines Stadium 2000 in Blenheim. A total of 13 teams competed across three categories: Primary, Intermediate, and College.

The teams engaged in six activities, which included navigating obstacles in the pool with their Aquabots, giving presentations, and participating in a quiz on flooding and climate change. The atmosphere was electric as teams skillfully controlled their Aquabots to complete various tasks underwater. Our students showcased remarkable collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, finishing third and fourth among the six college teams.

The top three teams in each category will represent the Marlborough region at the National Competition scheduled from November 30 to December 1, 2024, in Auckland.
