Giving back to our local community.

Our MGC Dare to Lead classes have embarked on a wide range of projects linked to the 'World Sustainable Development Goals' throughout the term. Students have been out and about within the community making a change - from donating time at charities, organising raffles, running bake sales to collecting food for the Salvation Army, Johns Kitchen, Crossroads and the Marlborough Food bank.

Some students have also been undertaking social media campaigns to raise awareness of issues facing us today. Issues such as such as poverty, hunger, climate change, bullying, and animal cruelty.

It has been a wonderful unit to teach and to see students giving back to the community and gaining awareness, confidence and independence.
