PARENT PORTAL - WHAT IS THIS?

Elaine Curtis —

In the next few weeks students will receive a letter with details about how to access the Parent Portal. This will enable you to see information from our student database regarding your child’s progress at school. The sharing of this information can be an important part of a mutual support network to help identify any issues of poor attendance or progress, as well as to hopefully provide positive reinforcement and encouragement at home for the work that our students are undertaking in the classroom.

The Parent & Student Portals will enable you to view academic progress in terms of completed assessments for students entering subjects for NCEA. It will also enable you to see live attendance data for each period of the day so that you will be quickly alerted to any issues of non-attendance in class.

To access the Portal visit the Massey High School website (www.masseyhigh.school.nz). Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the box called "Parent Portal" or "Student Portal". Alternately you can download the Kamar App on to any device. For either method, you will require a username and password for each of your children which will be provided in the letter.

The details available to you through the Parent & Student Portals are private and confidential to you and your child, please do not share these details with anyone else. If you lose or misplace your username and password, please contact the main office and they will provide you with further information.
