REPORTS AND PARENT/TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Elaine Curtis —

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

On Friday 7 July 2017, all students will be issued with their Mid-Year report and accompanying letter (copy attached to this article) regarding the Parent Teacher interviews which will take place on Thursday 3rd August 2017.  The reports now include a results summary for students in NCEA courses.

The Report Evening will be on Thursday 3rd August between 2.00pm and 8.00pm.  Students will finish school on this day at 12.30pm and most of the buses will be here at that time.  We invite you to come in and meet the teachers with whom you would like to discuss your child’s progress.  We have allowed ten minutes for each interview.

We are using an online booking system for parents to arrange their interviews.  To make a booking:

1.         go to www.schoolinterviews.co.nz

2.         enter the school event code: vd73q

3.         complete the details as requested.

If you do not have internet access at home, or prefer to make your appointment by phone, you may ring the office, (09) 831 0500, and the office staff will make the booking/s for you.  You can also access this website from any library that allows internet access.

When you arrive at the school you will be welcomed by Prefects and escorted to the meeting rooms.  You are encouraged to bring your son or daughter with you.  They are not required to wear uniform but it is official school time and we expect a high standard of dress.  Some parking will be available in the school grounds.  Otherwise please park on Don Buck Road or its side streets.

Research on academic achievement highlights the importance of communication between the school and the parents of our students.  We want to strengthen the relationship and communication among the school, the student and the family so that we are all working together to achieve our students’ academic success.  Thus, we encourage you to contact us if you have any inquiry about your child’s progress.  We strongly recommend that you and your child attend our Report Evening.

We look forward to seeing you then.
