We are very excited that the School Ball this year is to be held in the Great Room at The Langham Hotel in Symonds Street.  Doors will open at 7.30pm and have a strict closing time of 8.00pm.  The doors will re-open at midnight for students to leave.  The doors will not be opened during the Ball unless prior arrangement has been made or in an exceptional circumstance.  In that instance, parents/guardians would be called to collect their child.

It is not recommended that students take their own cars.  Should they need to drive themselves, they will need to collect a letter from Mrs Bentley and have it signed by a parent/guardian.  Student's taking their own car would have to park in the Wilson's park attached to The Langham at a cost of $15.  At the end of the night they would be escorted to their cars by staff members.

If students are planning on travelling by an arranged private bus to the venue, then they will need to also let Mrs Bentley know.  Buses are unable to drive into The Langham entrance and their staff will have to prepare for the parking of the bus.

Normal school rules apply in regard to behaviour, alcohol and smoking.  The conditions of entry into The Langham Hotel are that guests will be searched on entry to the venue.  Alcohol, cigarettes and any other unacceptable items will be confiscated.  These items are generally not returned.  The venue security has the right to refuse entry.  Outside partners are the responsibility of their Massey High School partner and are expected to follow the normal school rules.
