Advance Notice - Year 9 Rolling Strike

Dear Parent/Caregiver

The PPTA has advised the Massey High School Board of Trustees that as part of the National PPTA action all teachers will be taking strike action by withdrawing their labour from Year 9 students on Tuesday 4th June 2019. This includes teachers at Massey High School.

The board has carefully considered the availability of teaching staff, and unfortunately decided we cannot provide the normal teaching services to Year 9 students on this day.

Therefore, the school will officially be closed for instruction to Year 9 students on Tuesday 4th June 2019.

Accordingly, it is important that you make appropriate alternative arrangements for the care of your Year 9 child/children during this period. If this is difficult we can still supervise a small number of students if required. Please contact the office or send a note to indicate if your child/children will need this.

I know this is inconvenient for parents and students alike, but please be assured that student safety is our number one priority.
