STUDENT DRIVING BEHAVIOUR

Senior Management —

Massey High have become aware via staff and members of public that groups of students have been observed exhibiting poor driving behaviour recently.

Reports of vehicles doing burnouts in public and also carloads of passengers being transported by students on learner or restricted licences are some of the more common issues.

Students should be aware that Waitemata Police have an ongoing focus on ensuring the safety of all road users and that young drivers may be stopped for licence checks at any time.

The consequences of incurring demerit points or convictions for driving offences can impact negatively on future employment options and we encourage all parents/guardians to ensure students are aware of their responsibilities when driving.
