MATHS KNOWLEDGE BOOKS - sent home to Year 9 and 10 students

Maths Department —

Mathematics at home – guidance for students

By now some of you will have received Maths books in the post from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and all of you should have your Green Number Knowledge Books from the school. Some of you will be taking part in on-line lessons with your teacher.

It is important that you do some Maths work every day; at least 45 minutes.

In order of preference this is what you should do every day:

  1. If you have access to on-line resources;
  • attend on-line lessons and use the Blutick application if you have access to it;
  1. If you cannot access on-line lessons with your teacher but have the ESA book from the MoE;
  • do 3 pages per day of the ESA book starting from the beginning of the Number and then the Measurement sections;
  1. If you have neither on-line access nor the ESA book;
  • start at the front of the Green Knowledge Book and do 3 pages each day.
