HEALTH CENTRE INFORMATION

Health Centre —

To Parents and Caregivers

Kia ora,

As we return to school next week under Covid-19 level 2 restrictions, there will be some necessary changes to the School Health Clinic, in order to adhere to the Waitemata District Health Board guidelines and government protocols, to maintain safety for our students and staff.

We have a brand new health centre situated at the front of the school.

Students will still have access to the school nurses and doctor, but we will be using physical distancing as much as possible.

Students will only be seen by pre-arranged appointments, unless it is an emergency situation.

There will be no "walk-in" clinics, except in cases of emergency.

Appointments can be requested by emailing Ruth, Jeanettte or Rachel in the Health Clinic:

nurse@masseyhigh.school.nz

Please note that students must not come to school if they have any of the following symptoms:

Cough

Runny nose

Fever

Sore throat

Shortness of breath

Please seek advice/assessment from your GP or Covid Healthline on 0800 358 5453 (24/7) if you or anyone in your household has any of these symptoms.

Parents/caregivers will be contacted as a matter of urgency if their child develops any of these symptoms during the school day, and the student must be collected from school as soon as possible and assessed by their GP or by calling the Covid Healthline number above.

There will be no facility for students who have any of these symptoms to remain at school.

Please ensure all contact details are current and correct so in the event your child is unwell we are able to contact a care giver. Your help with this is much appreciated.

We will continue to update you with any changes as they happen.

Nga mihi nui,

Massey High School Nurses, Ruth Jeanette and Rachel
