ACADEMIC TIE AWARD - DISHA RATTU (13KBE)

A blue academic tie is awarded to a Massey High School student in Year 9 to Year 13 in recognition of the high attainment and/or outstanding progress made towards achieving their academic goals. This award is a huge accomplishment as it is one of the top academic awards in our school.

Throughout all of her years at Massey High School, Disha has consistently proven herself to be an outstanding student. In her time here, Disha has achieved 80% of her total credits at excellence, and even more impressive, she has never failed to achieve a standard. Aside from her exceptional grades, Disha pushes herself and challenges herself in many extracurricular activities. These include being an International Buddy and being part of the World Vision Leadership Team on multiple occasions. She also represented Massey High School and the entire Waitakere region at the 2017 National Science and Technology Forum, a camp which places her as one of the top 160 science students in the country. Disha is also a Silver Badge Prefect, and consistently fulfills this role to the best of her ability.

Not only does Disha consistently achieve excellent results in her academic endeavours but she approaches any and every task with enthusiasm and diligence. Disha is dedicated and hard working, she epitomises a model academic student and her commitment and efforts toward learning are exceptional, it is our pleasure to be able to award her the academic tie.
