ASB Polyfest 2026 Schools' Day

Amanda Culverwell —

A group of senior students, along with Whaea Alicia and Mrs Anderson-McGhie, travelled to Manukau last week to take part in a special session at ASB Polyfest designed for primary and intermediate aged students.

The Schools’ Day experience was an opportunity for students to take part in a range of cultural activities, including games and dances, as well as spend some time watching the different cultural performances presented by the high school students competing in Polyfest.

A highlight of the day for our students was learning a dance from Niue and then participating in a mass dance-off with students from other primary and intermediate schools. We even had some of our whānau volunteers joining in. They also enjoyed the cultural performances, including dances from Brazil, Mongolia, South Korea and the Philippines.

A big thank you to Whaea Alicia and the whānau volunteers for making attendance at this event possible for our tamariki.
