South West Zone Cross Country

On Tuesday 28th May, 72 students represented Maungaraki School at the South West Zones cross country event at Sladden Park in Petone.  Please see the list attached of all students who qualified for this event.

Despite the lovely wet weather, the children had a very successful day down at the park and should be incredibly proud of their efforts! 

A huge congratulations to the following people who gained a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd placing in their respective races for the South West Zone:

Year 4 Girls - 1st = Sophie Crosland
Year 4 Girls - 3rd = Mackenzie Gwerder
Year 5 Boys - 2nd = Alvaro Grave Medrano
Year 5 Boys - 3rd = Cole Gwerder
Year 7 Boys - 1st = Liam Brown
Year 7 Boys - 2nd = Jake Turner
Year 7 Boys - 3rd = Caylan Banks
Year 8 Boys - 3rd = Jacob Gibbs

INTERZONE

Congratulations to all of our students who qualified to represent Maungaraki at the Interzones Cross Country on June 18th. 

They are Sophie Crosland, Mackenzie Gwerder, Lucy Papps, Toby Browne, Zac Fiddis, Alvaro Grave Medrano, Cole Gwerder, Sam Leonard, Mia Burt, Will Browne, Rhys Nixon, Alex Briscoe, Lara Fiddis, Priya Patel, Hana Aung, Samantha Knox, Liam Brown, Jake Turner, Caylan Banks, Jack Rowley, Ethan Jooste, Jio Srisakot, Jack Comrie, Amy Martell, Jacob Gibbs, Jacob McHugh, Michael Tester, and Aidan Meehan. 

We also have some students who are reserves for their respective age groups. These students will be notified by Mrs Pollard-Smith soon.  Signmee notices for this event will come home shortly.
