Summer Sports and activities

 TOUCH

Good luck to our 11 teams playing Touch Rugby for Term 4.  Games start on Friday 26 October and run for 6 weeks.  The draw will be posted on http://totaltouch.org.nz/ each week. Click on ‘Draws and Results’ (on the right-hand side), then ‘Junior Competitions’ and ‘Hutt Park’ however your team Coach or Manager will be in contact regarding game times.

All players will need to wear a school T-shirt when playing.  Please make payment for your touch fee at the school office or via Internet banking by Friday 19th October.  If this will be an issue please contact Mr C.

NETBALL

The year 1 & 2 netball league starts next Saturday 27 October and ends on the 1 December.  A rain out day is scheduled for 8 December if required.  Good luck to our 2 teams playing this term.

If you do still have a netball skirt or tunic please hand these back to Mrs Prichard or the school office.

BASKETBALL

We are still missing a large number of basketball singlets.  If you have yet to hand yours in please give to the school office or Mr Cowman. 

FOOTBALL IN SCHOOLS

Our Football in school programme kicked off yesterday and will continue on Wednesdays and Thursdays through to week 9.  It will not be held in week 8 due to the EOTC (education outside the classroom) activities.  

ATHLETICS

We have changed the format of the school athletics this year.  Over the next four weeks the year 4 to 8 students will be training for the zone athletics events.  Those students interested in attending the zone athletics will be able to attend qualifying events during week 3 and 4.  We will let parents and children know when these are.  Nikau and Totara syndicates will have a fun ath;etics event for all students on Friday 23 November.
