Year 7 & 8 Teams

Last night our Year 7 & 8 Maungaraki Mathswell team competed at Tawa Intermediate School.

The competition had 32 schools from around the Wellington region participating.  Our team of six students were split in two (one multi-choice and one problem solving) of which had two rounds of competition questions.  Our groups worked really well as a team, and by the second half we were in the top 10.   By the end of the evening, the multi-choice team were placed in 5th,  and the problem solving team were placed 10th. 

Overall our combined team result was 9th, out of 32 schools!  Great job to Aidan Foster, Michael Tester, Eli Church, Nate Beard, Bobby Ma and Mia Brown!

Best of luck to the Year 5 and 6 Mathwell team, who are competing next Tuesday over in Wainuiomata.
