PAID UNION MEETINGS

Teachers will be attending paid union meetings on Friday 29 June.  More information will follow in the next Newsletter about how this may impact our school families.

DRIVEWAY SAFETY REMINDER

Please take extra care when dropping your children off to Before and After School care.  We have had a few close calls recently and are committed to keeping all of our students safe.  Thank you for your support with this.

PINK SHIRT DAY

Kia ora everyone!!!  This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, wear a pink shirt, pink pants, a whole pink outfit or anything pink - the pinker, the better! Let’s all demonstrate we are a place where all people feel safe, valued and respected.  Speak up.  Stand together.  Stop Bullying.

This week some of our classes have been reading Oat the Goat, a New Zealand made online interactive storybook, which helps children learn the power of kindness

ANZ OLYMPIC SCHOOL PROGRAMME

Maungaraki School has joined the ANZ Olympic Schools programme.  This means our school can now be rewarded if you choose ANZ for your fianance.  

For every qualifying home or business loan referred by an ANZ staff member for someone who is connected to our school, we will receive 800 credits to spend at the ANZ Awards Centre - this equates to approximately $400.

If you are considering getting finance through ANZ please mention this to the ANZ staff member so it can be added to our Olympic Schools Programme.  Thanks. 

BOOK CLUB

Scholastic Book club forms have been handed out.  These are due back at school by Monday 11 June  2018.  

You can order by completing the order form on the booklet and returning to school.  Payment can be made in Cash (exact change please), Cheque made payable to Scholastic New Zealand.
