SCOUTS BREAKFAST ON THE GREEN

The Maungaraki Richmond Scouts have their annual Breakfast on the Green this Sunday.

PLAYCENTRE OPEN WEEK 15 MARCH 2021

Let’s share our stories together. Thousands of stories and even more friendships. Come and discover your local Playcentre during Open Week and share your story.

Maungaraki Playcentre is on Cedar Street, and has morning sessions:
Mondays and Tuesday's 9.15 - 11.45am with an optional extension through lunch and more play until 1.15pm
Wednesdays and Thursdays 9.15am - 11.45am

TERM 1 ADVENTURE HOLIDAY PROGRAMME

Are you a budding adventurer? Always wanted to give rock climbing or kayaking a go? Come and join us at Fergs Adventure Club this school holidays! 

Our Holiday Programme has options for Climbing on our indoor rock walls and SUPing, Kayaking, or Sea Kayaking. The Programme is designed for 8-17 year olds. We run our programme from Monday-Friday, with both weeks of the school holidays available. From 10am to 12pm, 8-11 year olds will join us for our Kayaking session and the 12-17 year olds will Stand up Paddleboard through Wellington Harbour. 

As an exciting addition, 14 year olds and over will have the opportunity to Sea Kayak! At 12:30pm our Rock Climbing session begins and kids get the chance to learn on our big Top Rope walls and our bouldering area until the end of our session at 2:15pm.

NGA MANU NATURE RESERVE

Children will enjoy free entry to Ngā Manu Nature Reserve on Sunday 14th March in celebration of Te Rā O Ngā Tamariki (Children's Day) and can take part in Kākāriki Nature Play activities and storytime in our forest setting.

Bring a picnic and come and enjoy a fabulous family day out at Ngā Manu. Children will receive an activity book on arrival and join in colouring activities in Robin's Nest (make a weta puppet, butterfly or bird mask or a chatterbox). Meet kākā, kākāriki, kea and whio in the walk-through aviaries, spot kiwi in the nocturnal house and see the eels being fed at 2pm. There will be storytelling sessions in our forest circle setting throughout the day (11am, 1pm and 3pm) along with Kākāriki Nature Play activities (whittling and flax rope making) in between storytelling sessions until 4pm.

T&Cs: Free entry for children (aged 0 - 17 years) with a paying adult.
Adult tickets are $12 and $10 for SuperGold Card holders.

VIVISTOP

VIVISTOP Mini Pop-up is looking for all young innovators, creators, artists and makers (ages 9-15) to join their creative space from 6th - 13th of March at Pasifika Hub (2 Dudley St).
Come for Free Flow activities, or take part in the Saturday workshops where imagination has no limitations! All events are free to participate in.
